To choose the correct shoe size you should measure your feet. For this, you will need a sheet of paper or notebook, a pen or pencil, a ruler and, if possible, the socks you plan to wear with those shoes. Then, follow these steps:
1. Place the sheet of paper on the floor with one edge flush against the wall and make sure it doesn’t move. To get an accurate measurement, stand with your weight evenly distributed over both feet and press your heel firmly against the wall on the paper.
2. Mark with the pen the tip of the longest toe (it’s not always the big toe).
3. Measure both feet and choose the larger measurement (very few people have perfectly identical feet). Then, measure the distance from the edge of the paper to your mark in millimeters or centimeters and multiply by 10 to convert to millimeters.
4. Add 7 mm to get the active foot length and consult the sizing chart. The size you should choose is the next whole size up. For example, if the active foot measures 258 mm, choose size 39.
With this method you are measuring the length, but not the width. Most shoes taper at the front; the most extreme case is pointed women’s styles. If you have wider feet, you may need to go up a size, since the tapering will limit the use of the full length of the shoe.

To measure the width (girth) of your foot you will need a flexible tape measure (fabric or plastic) or, if you don’t have one, a string and a ruler. Then follow these steps:
1. Identify the widest part of your foot, usually at the front where the toes begin (the metatarsals).
2. Wrap the tape measure around that area without tightening too much (if using string, mark where it meets and then measure the string with a ruler).
3. Note the measurement in centimeters and, for more precision, multiply by 10 to convert to millimeters.
4. Repeat on the other foot and use the larger figure, as both feet can differ slightly.
The shoe width depends on the last and model of each shoe. It is advisable to check the width measurement in each product description or contact our Customer Service department; we will provide the exact last measurements so you can choose the best-fitting size.
